Annual Community Cup Competition 2026

The title this year is "Your St Andrews".
Entries can be any size, in any medium, mounted (not framed) and unsigned (name on back). 
One entry per member.
Submit your entry to the Clubrooms by 19th October 2026. 
Two members of St Andrews Community Council will judge.  The winning art will be displayed at the Community
Council Civic Reception in St Andrews Town Hall in November 2026 where the overall winner will be presented with a trophy and the 2 runners-up will each receive a certificate.

 

Art Club Calendar 

 

It has been suggested that the club produce a 2027 Calendar.  
The calendars will be on sale at the Christmas Exhibition and all profits will go to the charity we are currently supporting. After discussion with the West Port Printers, they would like A4-sized paintings in a landscape orientation. The paintings can be any medium and of any subject; they can also be signed or initialled on the front with full artist details and a contact email/address on the back of the painting. If you wish, they can reflect one of the four seasons, but this is not compulsory. We will be choosing 13 images in total;  these will be selected by the November speaker. All entries must be hung on the wall in the back room by Wednesday, 11th November 2026.

The McKenzie Trust & St Andrews Art Club Collaboration
 

The McKenzie Sisters’ Trust has approached the club with a proposal to collaborate. Members of the club are invited to exhibit some of their artworks at St Andrews Hospital. These paintings will be either for display only or, if you wish, also for sale,  sales will be through the individual artist. 

The committee believes this would be an ideal opportunity to showcase the work of the Art Club and its members. We would like to gauge the interest of members in participating in the exhibition.

Due to the tight timescales, a prompt response from those who would be interested in exhibiting should be directed to either myself or our President Graham Duncan (kindablue15@googlemail.com) .

The exhibition space is limited so a selection process may be necessary if there is significant interest. To minimise framing costs for members, we have suggested to the Trust that they provide standardised mounting and framing for the artworks as we feel this would enhance the exhibition’s professional appearance.  We are still waiting for their decision regarding this proposal.
